Dear Foodie Friends,
As Boca Raton celebrates its 100th birthday, the entire city is coming alive with events, initiatives, and community collaborations that highlight its rich history and vibrant present. One of the most flavorful ways to trace Boca’s evolution is through its culinary scene — a living timeline served up on plates across the city. From historic dining rooms to new-age bistros, Boca Raton’s food culture has always played a central role in shaping its identity.

A Year of Celebration
The City of Boca Raton’s official Centennial celebration is a year-long series of events designed to honor the past while inspiring the future. Community concerts, historic walking tours, art installations, storytelling sessions, and more are bringing together residents, businesses, and visitors in a shared spirit of pride and reflection.

Local organizations, including cultural institutions and small businesses, are stepping up to support and participate in these once-in-a-century festivities. From curated experiences to commemorative merchandise and themed events, the Centennial is becoming a platform for collaboration and creativity. And for a city with a passionate food-loving community, it’s no surprise that the culinary scene is making a major mark.
Dining Through the Decades: Boca’s Culinary Landmarks
Some of Boca’s oldest restaurants have served as both culinary anchors and storytellers — places where generations have gathered to celebrate milestones, make memories, and savor recipes passed down through time.
The Boca Raton (formerly the Boca Resort) has long been a symbol of luxury and fine dining. Over the decades, it has hosted dignitaries, celebrities, and families seeking beachfront elegance and culinary excellence. Its restaurants continue to evolve while honoring a rich tradition of hospitality.

The Griddle, opened in 1945, is a beloved Boca landmark known for its no-frills, home-style breakfasts. Step inside and you’ll be transported to old-time Boca as you settle into a cozy booth or grab a seat at the counter, just like diners did in decades past.
Nestled in a charming 1920s “coral rock” bungalow that was once the original Luff family home, Luff’s Fish House opened in 2017 and transports diners straight into Boca’s past with it’s covered porches, vintage photos, and the building’s rich history.

La Nouvelle Maison, known for its refined French cuisine, stands as a modern homage to European elegance and Boca’s sophisticated dining palate.
The Flavors of Boca Today: Diversity, Creativity, and Community
Now, in 2025 a new chapter is being written in Boca Raton and the heart of can be found in Mizner Park. Just steps from the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Amphitheater, this vibrant, walkable district is becoming a culinary hub in its own right. The area offers a lively mix of atmosphere and innovation — with new restaurants carrying the torch of Boca’s legacy while forging exciting new paths.

Kapow, a high-energy Asian fusion hotspot known for bold flavors and eclectic cocktails.

Loch Bar, offering refined seafood and raw bar classics;

American Social, a spirited spot for upscale comfort food and craft drinks.
These establishments aren’t just following in the footsteps of Boca’s culinary history — they’re actively making it. From beachfront diners to iconic soda fountains, these establishments helped define early Boca and laid the groundwork for the diverse food scene we know today.

Coastal elegance: Boca’s food scene has grown along its beautiful shores.
Local chefs and food entrepreneurs are not only feeding the community — they’re telling stories, preserving heritage, and pushing the envelope. From weekend farmers markets to seasonal tasting menus, Boca’s food culture is a reflection of its growth, diversity, and creativity.
